LANSING, Mich., July 1 (UPI) -- Even though the temperature was in the 80s and there was no snow on the ground, that didn't prevent a Michigan man from taking his snowmobile for a ride on Sunday night in Lansing.

The Ingham County Prosecutor's Office is expected to charge the unnamed man with operating while impaired after he was found at the scene of an apparent snowmobile crash that involved no snow.

The Lansing Police Department reported that the 43-year-old man was going far too fast when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a tree.

The man was taken to the hospital because of his injuries and a blood sample was drawn.

In addition to the OWI charge, his third, the man is expected to be charged with operating with a suspended license.
