KTVU's Heather Holmes was on the scene reporting when her stuff was taken from a television truck that was parked near Oakland police headquarters. Advertisement R u kidding me? Doing a live report at @oaklandpoliceca headquarters & my purse is stolen from the live truck! We were parked outside #OPD!!— Heather Holmes (@hholmesktvu) June 17, 2014 Oh the irony of it all...while reporting on violent mugging, my purse is stolen. Thieves used my bank card 20 mins after swiping my bag.— Heather Holmes (@hholmesktvu) June 17, 2014 The victim of the mugging was at least partially saved when some Good Samaritans came to her aid and frightened off the thieves. Despite being upset about her loss, Holmes made it clear that the person who suffered the biggest injustice was the woman who was robbed and beaten. While it's a bummer that my purse was stolen, it doesn't compare to what purse snatcher's did to this woman. http://t.co/cdAGWPnnep Advertisement— Heather Holmes (@hholmesktvu) June 17, 2014 She was beaten about the face & head for her purse in #Temescal. @oaklandpoliceca responds & says it will increase patrols in the area.— Heather Holmes (@hholmesktvu) June 17, 2014 Read More Suspected 'organized syndicate' steals $15,000 in LEGOs from toy store in Australia Three people rob gun store with fake gun Not so-smooth criminal: Man arrested after 'friending' alleged victim on Facebook Man accused of using rock to rob Florida convenience store for drug money
