ORLANDO, Fla., June 19 (UPI) -- A Florida man has been charged with second-degree attempted murder after he allegedly tossed a pan full of hot, greasy grits on his friend during an argument.

Darryl Blacknell was hospitalized with second-and third-degree burns after his neighbor, Edward Holley, allegedly tossed the burning breakfast food on him.

Holley was apparently upset about the 29-year-old "following" him around, and the two got into an argument.

According to WESH, Holley allegedly told Blacknell, "I've got something for you," and went inside to get the grits.

When the grits were tossed, they also reportedly struck another man who was standing nearby.

Blacknell suffered burns on 30 percent of his body, and will have to "undergo painful cleanings and surgeries and will be admitted into the hospital for a significant amount of time," according to the arrest report.

"If you are going to arrest me then just arrest me now, cause next time I am going to kill him," Holley reportedly told police.
