POLK COUNTY, Fla., June 11 (UPI) --
The state that has produced infamous
criminal suspects including Edward Cocaine and Brittany Boozel can now add another one to the Mount Rushmore of Florida names: Crystal Metheney.
According to records from the Polk County Sheriff's Office, Metheney was arrested on Cinco de Mayo for violating a statute that prohibits the firing of missiles.
Specifically, Metheney is accused of firing an "offensive missile" into a vehicle. It appears that when the 36-year-old allegedly fired the missile, the vehicle was occupied.
The suspect was released the following day after posting $5,000 bond.
Although this incident was not drug-related, records indicate that Metheney was arrested in 2012 on a marijuana possession charge.
