Man accused of hitting brother with marijuana plants over the weekend in Florida

After the alleged "blunt force" attack, Rodney Brown was charged with domestic battery, cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana over 20 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.

POLK COUNTY , Fla., June 9 (UPI) -- A Florida man who allegedly hit his brother with illegal marijuana plants wound up in the joint.

According to Polk County sheriff's deputies, Rodney Brown, 31, struck his 33-year-old brother Jackie Brown in the face with several marijuana plants that were "from the yard" of their residence.

When deputies responded to the domestic-disturbance call, they searched the home and found 10 marijuana plants and drug paraphernalia, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

In the alleged attack, Brown "uprooted several cannabis plants of various lengths" and then utilized the "hemp in a harsh manner."

The suspect was charged with domestic battery, cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana over 20 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.
