SAN ANTONIO, June 6 (UPI) -- After LeBron James left Game 1 of the NBA Finals because of cramping when the air conditioning broke in San Antonio, people began tweeting at Gatorade to ask what was wrong with their client.

The thing is, James endorses Powerade.

When the tweets started pouring in, Gatorade got a little nasty. Unfortunately, most of the tweets have since been deleted, but here's a sampling of what was said:

"The person cramping wasn't our client. Our athletes can take the heat."

"We were waiting on the sidelines, but he prefers to drink something else."

"This is awkward....We don't sponsor him. #fail."

"Better go stock up Lime Cucumber before Game 2. Can't cramp up if you want to tweet during it."

The company let this one stay at least.

According to ESPN's Darren Rovell, Gatorade wants to squash the beef.

San Antonio fans are electing to go a different route.

The Spurs defeated the Heat 110-95 to take a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series.
