LIVINGSTON, Texas, May 30 (UPI) -- Two deer were recently seen running wild in a Texas antique shop, but it's unclear why they didn't call the bull or how the china fared during the incident.

The deer broke into Downtown Treasures in Livingston by smashing through a plate-glass window and it took officers from Livingston Police Department , a sheriff's deputy and the store's owner more than an hour get them out.

"I was shocked that a deer would jump through a window. It makes me wonder why the deer would be so crazy that they would jump in a window," said customer Govinda Dacai.

One of the deer eventually went back through the front door and the other one ended up in the adjoining Whistle Stop Café.

While the deer was "tearing up the inside of the store," the respondents tried to coax it into a bathroom to minimize the damage.

"He (the deer) didn't understand that, so he went through a lot of the rooms, dropping blood crashing into things, breaking things," Downtown Treasures store owner Debbie Cooper told KTRE.

The deer eventually left via the store's back door.

"There's not any woods for a ways around here," Cooper said. "I have no idea where they came from."
