'Firenado' photo from Missouri is the hottest photo on the web

CHILLICOTHE, Mo., May 8 (UPI) -- A woman who was driving in Missouri over the weekend stopped to snap a photograph of a burning field and ended up with a photo that is spreading like wildfire.

While Janae Copelin was taking pictures, the intense heat of the flames and the high winds in the area combined to create a “firenado.” After capturing an image of the firenado, Copelin uploaded the hot photograph to her Instagram account.

“Had such a wonderful weekend, but this had to be the coolest/scariest thing I've ever seen,” Copelin wrote with her Instagram picture. “A farmer burning off his field and as we stopped so I could take a picture the wind whipped up this fire twister. #nofilter #firestorm #firetwister.”

No one was injured by the intense-looking fire funnel.

"Thanks to my love of Instagram I chose to drive by and as I stopped to take a picture the wind whipped up the fire into this funnel," Copelin said in an email to KMBC 9 News. "The sound and heat were intense and a bit scary not knowing if it would stay put, but it only lasted a couple minutes."
