Pilots were warned to be on the lookout for the Budweiser “Red Zeppelin” blimp and the blimp’s owners are searching for it as well.
"It's the only one we have," Wade Keller, the director of Labatt Breweries for Atlantic Canada, told the CBC. "The manufacturer believes in all likelihood it has landed somewhere in New Brunswick, not all that far from Saint John, and we are actively looking for it."
The wind caused the blimp break free from its tether during a hockey promotion over the weekend. "The main thing for us is nothing was damaged. No one was injured,” Keller said.
Not sure there is anything more Canadian than a Budweiser Goal Light Blimp floating aimlessly in New Brunswick. http://t.co/XZYpvVxVp9— Dustin Nielson (@nielsonTSN1260) April 29, 2014
Labatt will continue to search for the blimp via the air until it is located.
"It is a challenge, for sure," Keller said. "The zeppelin is large, but so is New Brunswick."
