GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., April 29 (UPI) -- Robert Jefferey Blank attempted a backflip at his commencement ceremony from Davenport University when he missed the landing and fell face first.

Quickly after the painful fall that went viral, Blank picked himself up and was fine. He says he does backflips all the time and saw an open space and thought he would try it but it didn't work well.

At least Blank will always be able to remember his college graduation.
