TONGEREN, Belgium, April 24 (UPI) -- In an effort possibly designed to get classical music to appeal to a younger audience, a Belgian classical music festival has released a YouTube video of a Korean dance troupe twerking in time to Czech composer Antonin Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 in E Minor.

The piece, which was composed in 1893 and premiered in New York City, has been given new life thanks to director Raf Reyntjens. The video for Symphony No. 9 has already been viewed more than two million times.

The B-Classic music festival commissioned Reyntjens to work with pop-dance group Waveya to produce the video in the hope of “combining the timeless emotion of classical music with the visual talent of a contemporary director.”

“It is indeed a very different clip than your average YouTube clip,” B-Classic spokesperson Frank Peter said in a short documentary that accompanies the video.

Those who watch to the end of the video are told, "You just listened to 3 minutes of classical music."

The video has definitely gotten its fair share of clicks, but not everyone is impressed.

“Dem internetz have gone too far...,” wrote one commenter.
