TORONTO, April 23 (UPI) -- It’s been rumored that Toronto Mayor Rob Ford is more than willing to indulge in a number of substances -- but he apparently is unwilling to use them to bet.

Ford turned down an offer from Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams to bet a six-pack of beer on the outcome of the Raptors/Nets series in the opening round of the NBA playoffs.

The series is tied at one game apiece, with Game 3 taking place on Friday in Brooklyn.

The mayor declined Adams’ offer to bet a sixer from Brooklyn Brewery, so they will be betting CDs instead.

“I don’t want it involving alcohol because I know how it will get spun,” Ford told the Toronto Sun.

Adams is rumored to be wagering a Jay-Z album, while Ford is putting up an album from Canadian rapper Drake.

The borough president extended the bet to Ford after weighing in on Toronto general manager Masai Ujiri shouting “[Expletive] Brooklyn” during a pep rally.

“It’s unfortunate that the Raptors’ GM felt so desperate facing against our Nets that he would throw profanity around discussing our beloved borough, but I can’t say I’m surprised,” Adams said. “After all, Brooklyn is a classier place. Just compare Babs to Biebs, or spend some time with their ... colorful mayor.”
