Ford turned down an offer from Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams to bet a six-pack of beer on the outcome of the Raptors/Nets series in the opening round of the NBA playoffs. The mayor declined Adams’ offer to bet a sixer from Brooklyn Brewery, so they will be betting CDs instead. Here is Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams' letter to Toronto Mayor Rob Ford. Adams is rumored to be wagering a Jay-Z album, while Ford is putting up an album from Canadian rapper Drake. The borough president extended the bet to Ford after weighing in on Toronto general manager Masai Ujiri shouting “[Expletive] Brooklyn” during a pep rally.
