Whatever happened to sausage and pepperoni?

When Nestle Japan recently released bakeable Kit Kats, the company likely thought the cookable chocolate bars would end up in ovens -- not on top of pizzas.

A number of Japanese restaurant and café chains will begin offering a limited-time menu that includes pizzas topped with the “Bake ‘N Tasty Mini Kit Kats Custard Pudding Flavor.”

According to Rocket News, a press release from Nestle Japan said “baked Kit Kat menus will be offered at the pizza chains Napoli no Kama and Strawberry Cones as well as the cafe chains Wired Cafe and Moriva Coffee.”

Napoli’s Kit Kat and Mango Dolce Pizza is billed as a “sweet pizza for adults” and it costs $16. For $13, customers can dine on a Baked Kit Kat and Mango Dessert Pizza at Strawberry Cones.

The pizzas from both chains went on sale March 28 and will be sold until August 31.

Wired Cafe and Moriva Coffee do have menu items that include baked Kit Kats, but it does not appear they are offering pizzas…yet.
