March 31 (UPI) -- It appears that “road rage” can happen just about anywhere -- even at a McDonald's drive-thru.

In an incident captured on video Saturday at a McDonald's restaurant in Winter Haven, Fla., Howard Carl Wilson can be seen punching a woman in the face after the car she was in pulled in front of him at the double drive-thru.

After the vehicle cut him off, witnesses heard Wilson cursing and shouting racial slurs. He then got out of his van and approached the passenger side of the car.

The passenger, Brittani Thomas, opened the door to ask Wilson what the problem was.

Wilson began yelling at Thomas and she can be seen attempting to close her door multiple times during the exchange.

The encounter continued for almost two minutes and Thomas is seen in the video trying to close her door multiple times. After a time, Wilson can be seen striking Thomas.

When officers found Wilson at his home, he told them “he was at the passenger door of the vehicle for no more than 15 seconds.”

He was then shown the video, after which he admitted, "It was like a road rage incident." He was arrested and charged with simple battery.
