Taco Bell breakfast: Ronald McDonald's a big fan

Taco Bell gathers together a bunch of men named Ronald McDonald to support its new breakfast menu.

Taco Bell is celebrating the launch of its new breakfast menu Thursday with an advertisement taking a jab at fast-food competitor McDonald's.

The taco chain gathered together some two dozen men named Ronald McDonald -- the same name as McDonald's clown mascot -- to vouch for the deliciousness of its new breakfast items, which include a waffle taco, in a couple of new ads.

"I'm Ronald McDonald and I love Taco Bell's new breakfast," one McDonald from Akron, Ohio, said in one of the commercials.

In another, all 25 McDonalds are seated together and say in unison: "My name is Ronald McDonald, and I love Taco Bell's new breakfast."

The new menu includes the waffle taco, A.M. Crunchwrap and Cinnabon Delights. Most Taco Bell restaurants will now be open at 7 a.m., some even earlier, USA Today reported.
