The students and their parents constructed the loop to measure at 9 feet 9 inches. They had a ceremony for the record breaking, and an accountant was present to measure the loop. It took a few tries but on the fifth attempt, the hot wheels car successfully made a loop. Advertisement The effort was part of a school-wide fundraiser where if the kids raised more than $10,000, Principal Randall Yates said he would shave his mustache of over 20 years. The students raised $12,185 in the fundraiser to help the school fund new technology, supplies, and various programs.
