NEW CASTLE, Pa., March 19 (UPI) -- Police in Pennsylvania said they arrested a couple after the man, whose wife has a protection order against him, said his wife tried to cut off his genitals.

New Castle police said they were called to a West Side address around 9 p.m. Friday and Gerald Lee Orock Jr., 56, told officers his wife, Lisa Jones-Orock, 39, had tried to sever his genitals with a box cutter, the New Castle News reported Wednesday.

Police said there were cuts on the crotch area of Orock's pants and he had what appeared to be defensive cuts to his hands and left forearm. There was a box cutter near him on the couch.

The arrest report said officers found Jones-Orock, who had blood on her face and a cut on her right hand, was wanted on a bench warrant.

They also learned Jones-Orock has a protection from abuse order against Orock, who was banned by the order from having any contact with his wife.

Orock was arrested on a protection from abuse violation and taken to the Lawrence County jail.

Orock-Jones was charged with aggravated and simple assault, possession of marijuana and harassment. She was jailed in lieu of $5,000 bail.
