March 11 (UPI) -- Southern Middle School in Lothian, Md. closed on Tuesday after security footage showed 2 dogs attacking 3 deer inside the building.

The footage shows 3 deer running so fast they break through the glass door of the building with 2 dogs hot on their trail. The shattering glass set off the alarm and police were dispatched. When authorities arrived, they found one deer dead, another with bite wounds, and one still being attacked by a German shepherd.

The two surviving deer were euthanized due to the extent of their injuries and the dogs were handed over to animal control. They were reportedly not strays.

All classes were closed in the elementary and middle school.
