"He said, 'Give me what's in the register,' and he showed a gun," Crippen told KIRO 7. "I grabbed the knife we keep for cutting the sandwiches in half and I just said, '[expletive] you, get the hell out of my store.'"
The robber fled from the store.
"I just grabbed something," Crippen said. "I could have ended up with a pizza cutter."
About an hour later, the suspect showed up at a Subway about three miles away.
"As soon as I saw him, he showed me the gun," said employee Susana Rosas. "When I saw the gun, I'm like, 'Oh my god.'…He just said a few times, 'All the money, all the money.’ That's it."
The man got away with a couple hundred dollars and police are still trying to locate him.
