BBQ sauce companies reveal Obama, Biden split

LOS ANGELES, March 10 (UPI) -- Rival barbecue sauce manufacturers at a Los Angeles expo revealed President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden prefer different brands.

Brad Orrison, owner of Mississippi manufacturer Shed, said Saturday at the Natural Products Expo West White House chef Guy Mitchell special orders the company's Original Southern Sweet BBQ Sauce for Biden while Patrick Ford of the company behind North Carolina's Bone Suckin' Sauce said Obama keeps his product in stock, the New York Daily News reported Monday.

"Chef Guy tells us that Joe Biden loves our sauce. He told us that Joe said, 'Next time you go out ... be sure to bring me back some of that sweet sauce,'" Orrison said.

"Guy has come to us a long time, and he asks us for bottles as he says it's the president's favorite barbecue sauce," Ford said.
