The McDaniel Free Press reports that, “While the Phi Sigma Sigma sisters donned cut-off shorts, plaid shirts tied in the front, and boots, the brothers of Phi Delt wore baggy clothing, chains, and baseball hats turned backward.”
The national headquarters of both Greek organizations are also looking into whether a party about the alleged rivalry between CMT viewers and BET viewers was in good taste.
"We don't tolerate any kind of situation like this, and any time there is a Greek organization that we feel has violated a campus policy or their national headquarters' policy, an investigation is launched," Beth Gerl, vice president of student affairs, told the Baltimore Sun. "McDaniel without question supports inclusiveness, and any event that promotes intolerance is reprehensible."
The organizations could face penalties ranging from a warning to the loss of a charter.
