LAKE WORTH, Fla., March 6 (UPI) -- Note to thieves -- invest in a belt.

A Florida burglary suspect tried to flee from police while he was being arrested but his escape attempt was thwarted when his baggy pants tripped him up.

Jordan Bodden, 19, was in handcuffs when he took off, but his pants fell to the ground and then he did, too.

Bodden is charged with three counts of burglary, one count of escape and one count of resisting arrest without violence.

According to a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office arrest report, police were taking Bodden into custody after they responded to calls of multiple vehicle burglaries. He was taken to the Palm Beach County Jail and his bail was set at $31,000.
