CRETE, Ill., March 3 (UPI) -- A 29-year old woman was killed on the same road as her twin sister 18 years later.

Sarah Sanaghan was driving her Chevrolet Cruise when a tanker truck struck her car. She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead from blunt force trauma. The incident happened 500 yards from the place her twin sister was killed 18 years earlier.

Cari Sanaghan, 11, was walking down the road a little before midnight with friends after sneaking out of the house during a sleepover. A truck struck the children and Sanaghan died. The driver of the truck fled the scene but was later apprehended.

Sarah Sanaghan was a nurse and left behind one son.
