Swiss business school teacher accidentally showed porn in class

Feb. 27, 2014 at 5:40 PM

ZURICH, Switzerland, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Officials at a Swiss business school said a teacher was fired after pornographic videos were projected on his blackboard during class.

Students in the man's class at KV Zurich Business School said the teacher apparently forgot the projector was hooked up to his computer Monday when he searched the Internet for pornographic pictures of women with amputated limbs, Swiss newspaper 20 Minutes reported Thursday.

Rene Portenier, director at the school, confirmed the incident and said the teacher had apologized to the class and to officials. He said the man had no record of previous incidents at the school and was well-liked by his students.

Portenier said officials decided not to immediately dismiss the teacher, but the chairman of the school's council, Rolf Butz, said Wednesday the instructor will be laid off.

Butz, who is also director of the Merchants Association Zurich, said "such behavior is unacceptable."
