Her doorman helped her out of the building and tried to hail her a cab, but wasn't having any luck. When a woman came out and jumped the line to get in a cab, McCourt shouted, "No, that's my cab. I want that cab." Her baby wasn't going to wait any longer; McCourt gave birth to her daughter, Ila, on 68th St. and 3rd Ave. Advertisement Bystanders offered her scarves and coats to keep warm, and medics arrived shortly after the baby was born.
