Commandant Gen. James Amos and Sgt. Maj. of the Marine Corps Micheal Barrett announced on Facebook Tuesday the rolled-up sleeve look, which was done away with by an October 2011 rules change from Amos, will be making a comeback when Marines make the seasonal change to tan desert camouflage March 9, Stars and Stripes reported Wednesday.
"I can't tell you how many times we have been asked the persistent question, 'Commandant, are we ever going to return to SLEEVES UP?" the Facebook announcement said. "I've thought a lot about this over the past 2.5 years; I realize that it's important to you. Sleeves up clearly and visually sets us apart."
