Teen arrested after allegedly breaking into apartment, dropping wallet

DALLAS, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- A Dallas teenager was arrested for burglary after he allegedly broke into a police officer's home and dropped his wallet as he fled the scene, officials said.

Adrian Jimmerson, 18, is accused of breaking into the Dallas police officer's apartment on Feb. 13 and stealing his duty belt, pistol magazines, gun and pepper spray, WFAA-TV, Dallas/Fort Worth reported.

Police records say as Jimmerson left the apartment, he was pursued by an apartment complex employee who, along with another witness, tried stop the suspect as he tried to climb a fence.

The suspect dropped the stolen items and made it over the fence, but he dropped his own wallet in the process. The wallet contained Jimmerson's school identification card. He was arrested later that day.

Jimmerson is being held at the Dallas County Jail on a charge of burglary of a habitation. His bail has been set at $10,000.
