Obama's Twitter account noted Thursday he series second season was about to premiere and begged "No spoilers, please," NBC News reported.
Netflix made all 13 episodes available to subscribers of its streaming service Friday.
"House of Cards," inspired by three British miniseries that aired in the 1990s, features Kevin Spacey as a scheming Democratic House whip, and Robin Wright as his wife and partner in political trickery.
At a party Thursday to celebrate the premiere, Wright said Obama "knows good stuff."
Kate Mara -- who plays reporter Zoe Barnes on the series -- called Obama's tweet "one of the coolest things that's happened to me." Mara said she checked before commenting to make sure the presidential endorsement was genuine.
