Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe LORAIN, Ohio, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- Police in Ohio said a man accused of growing marijuana was allegedly planning to sell the pot to raise funds for a custody battle. Lorain police said a woman asked for help retrieving her belongings from the Lorain home she used to share with her ex-boyfriend, who she said refused to let her into the house after their breakup and had threatened to kill her during an argument about her property, the Northeast Ohio Media Group reported Monday. Advertisement The woman arrived at the house Friday with police and officers detected a strong odor of raw marijuana in the house, police said. Police discovered suspected marijuana plants in the attic of the home and several large jars of marijuana concealed in a dresser. The woman told police she and her ex-boyfriend have a child together and the man had told her he was planning to grow and sell marijuana to raise money for a lawyer and sue her for custody. The man, whose name was not reported, was arrested on a drug trafficking charge.
