PUYALLUP, Wash., Jan. 24 (UPI) -- A Washington state meat shop is making smoked sausages infused with Skittles in honor of Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch's favorite snack.

Evan Greco and Tommy Marshall, the owners of Blue Max Meats in Puyallup, said the Beast Mode Hot Skittles Sausage is a tribute to Lynch, who is known to much on Skittles on the sidelines, and the rest of the Super Bowl-bound Seahawks, the (Tacoma, Wash.) News Tribune reported Friday.

The pair said the sausage is made by adding 3 pounds of Skittles to 25 pounds of double-ground spicy pork sausage. The owners said the smoking process dissolves the Skittles, leaving no visual trace of the candy in the finished product -- but they said the Skittles' presence is evident in the taste.

Marshall said the sausages contain pockets of sweetness he dubbed "Skittles rivers," while Greco compared the flavor to "smoked Fruity Pebbles."

The sausages, which sell for $4.99 a pound, will be made until Super Bowl weekend, but the men said they only make about 25 pounds at a time, so supplies are limited.
