Home Depot seeks new home for longtime resident Depot the cat

BLUFFTON, S.C., Jan. 21 (UPI) -- A South Carolina Home Depot store said it is seeking a family willing to adopt Depot, a cat that has called the store home for 13 years.

Officials at the Bluffton Home Depot store said Depot has been a beloved member of the store's family for 13 years, and greets staff at the door when they arrive in the morning, WTOC-TV, Savannah, Ga., reported Tuesday.

Employees said Depot spends most of her time in the store's garden section, but officials said she has recently started causing problems by setting off the store's alarms at night.

Officials said they will not kick the feline out of the store until they have found her a suitable new home.

People interested in adopting Depot are being asked to contact management at the Home Depot in Bluffton.
