$88M French lotto winner plans trip to follow Tour de France

PARIS, Jan. 17 (UPI) -- The French winner of an $88.3 million lottery jackpot said he plans to buy a camper van and take his family to watch the Tour de France.

French lottery company La Francaise des Jeux said the man, who split a $177 million EuroMillions lottery jackpot with a Spanish man Tuesday, said he has some plans now that he's gone from making less than minimum wage to bring one of the 500 richest people in France, Radio France Internationale reported Friday.

"My first plan will be to buy a home and perhaps a mas [farmhouse] in Provence," the lottery company quoted the winner as saying.

The man, whose name was not released by the company, said he plans to buy a camper van and take his family on vacation to follow the next Tour de France.
