Hit AMC series Breaking Bad, which was set and filmed in New Mexico, broadcast its final episode last year, but it seems that a few fans aren’t willing to let go to at least one aspect of the popular series.

According to New Mexico authorities, Breaking Bad-inspired blue meth has started to appear and it contains an additive which makes it even more dangerous than usual.

“We are we are seeing an increase in blue meth up in the Four Corners, and into the Farmington region. It's actually being moved and pushed by various distributors,” said Kevin Abar of the Department of Homeland Security.

Dealers are cutting the meth with chemicals to make it blue, though that doesn’t make it any less addictive.

“Its truly bad,” Abar said, “It's a bad meth that's created a lot of individuals getting sick from utilizing it. We're concerned that individuals may find it sexy and want to try it and utilize the drug and it's very addictive.”

Jose Plata first used meth when he was 14 and has been in trouble with the law ever since.

“I regret it and I hope people will get and understanding of how crazy this drug is. It ruins your life,” Plata said. “All it does is end you up in a place like this jail, institutions, death.”

Kansas City police ran across some blue meth back in 2010 and Canadian authorities found a similar version of the drug in October.
