Chicago-area woman mistakenly gets package from Obamas

Jan. 2, 2014 at 2:59 PM

WADSWORTH, Ill., Jan. 2 (UPI) -- A woman in the Chicago suburbs said she was surprised when she mistakenly received a Christmas package from President Barack Obama's daughters.

Alane Church of Wadsworth said she thought the package that arrived at her home Wednesday was a delayed Christmas gift she had been expecting, but when she opened it she discovered a second, pre-opened package with Sasha and Malia Obama's names on the return address, WLS-TV, Chicago, reported Thursday.

Church said the package, a photo book featuring pictures of the Obamas, was meant for the girls' godmother. She said she managed to get a hold of the godmother and will be forwarding the package along to its intended destination.
