MADISON, Wis., Dec. 16 (UPI) -- Police in Wisconsin said they arrested a man who climbed into an idling car and bit the driver during the ensuing disagreement.

Madison police said the 49-year-old driver told police the 23-year-old suspect climbed into his car around 11 p.m. Sunday and the intruder did not display a weapon or make any threatening statements, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Monday.

The driver and a friend removed the man by force when he refused their commands to get out of the car, and the suspect allegedly bit the driver on the arm, causing bruising.

Police said the suspect may have been the same man reported trying to enter other occupied cars in the area. Investigators said witnesses reported the man was "speaking gibberish and believed to be under the influence of an unknown substance."
