Spanish seniors bare backsides to protest social program cuts

BARCELONA, Spain, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- A group of senior activists in Spain bared their bottoms outside the stock exchange in Barcelona to protest social program cuts.

Ten members of the activist group Iaioflautas, or Hippy Pensioners, exposed their backsides Wednesday outside the stock exchange building to protest the Catalonia region's cuts to social programs, TheLocal.es reported Thursday.

The protest was a homage to Catalonia's regional Caganers Christmas decorations, which feature crib figurines squatting to use the restroom.

"Iaioflautas came here to do our crap against this government that is impoverishing us," one of the activists said.
