RAUMA, Norway, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- A Norwegian daredevil took video of himself cycling backward down a steep mountain road, reaching speeds of up to 50 mph.

Eskil Ronningsbakken, whose stunts often involve death-defying balancing acts, rode backward down a winding road from the top of the 2,788-foot-tall mountain Trollstigen, TheLocal.no reported Tuesday.

Ronningsbakken, whose safety equipment was limited to a cycling helmet, weaved through traffic as he descended the Rauma road.

The daredevil's previous feats include cycling on a tightrope between two Norwegian mountain peaks.
