AJMAN, United Arab Emirates, Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Guinness World Records confirmed a 1,302-square-foot mosaic made from greeting cards in the United Arab Emirates is the largest in the world.

The mosaic, organized by the Ajman Tourism Development Department to celebrate the 42nd United Arab Emirates National Day, was confirmed by Guinness Sunday to meet the qualifications to eclipse the record from a 1,091-square-foot mosaic made from greeting cards in Taipei, Taiwan, earlier this year, Gulf News reported Wednesday.

Guinness adjudicator Samer Khallouf oversaw the creation of the mosaic, which spells out the words "Union Spirit," and confirmed its measurements.
