Jackson, Sophia top website's list of popular U.S. baby names

SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Website BabyCenter, based in San Francisco, said the top U.S. baby names of 2013 among families registered with the site were Jackson and Sophia.

The website said Jackson took over the top spot on the boys' side of the Top 100 Baby Names of 2013, knocking 8-year champion Aiden down to the No. 2 spot.

Rounding out the top 10 on the list, which was compiled using data from about half a million families registered with the site, were Liam, Lucas, Noah, Mason, Jayden, Ethan, Jacob and Jack.

BabyCenter said Sophia was the top name among girls for the four consecutive year, followed by Emma, Olivia, Isabella, Mia, Ava, Lily, Zoe, Emily and Chloe.
