Greek town creates 7,936-pound lollipop

TRIKALA, Greece, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- A Greek town broke a Guinness World Record with the creation of a 7,936-pound lollipop, which took a team two days to make.

The lollipop, created over the course of two days by a team as part of the town of Trikala's Christmas Festivities at the "Mill of Elves," weighed in at 7,936 pounds, breaking the record of 7,003 pounds set by See's Candies of California in 2012, the World Records Academy reported Tuesday.

The lollipop was placed at the entrance of the "Mill of Elves," where it will remain through the holidays.
