CONNAH’S QUAY, Wales, Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Welsh police said a pair of burglars who injured themselves while ransacking a gym returned to paint over the blood they left behind.
Investigators said the two men cut themselves on broken glass while forcing their way through a glass door at Insanity Extreme in Connah's Quay, Wales, and caused damage to the facility including using an ax on a punching bag and setting fire to the gym's transport vans, The Mirror reported Tuesday.
Keith Kendrick, 30, the owner of the gym, said CCTV footage from the incident depicts the men leaving and returning with white paint to cover up their blood from the broken door.
He said the video also captured one of the men attempting to exit the gym through a mirror.
Kendrick said the men stole a laptop computer, nutritional supplements and about $160 cash.
