The organizing committee of the Kankhudia village volleyball tournament said the winning team from Sunday's final match of the weeklong event was awarded a 44-pound goat and the runner-up team was given a 33-pound goat, Gulf News reported Wednesday. Advertisement A committee representative said the teams were awarded with goats to "enable them to enjoy a feast of sumptuous mutton delicacies after the event." "The tournament was a huge success and we succeeded in reviving sporting activities in the rural areas," said Mohammad Sayeed, husband of Purnia district board member Bibi Naima, who spearheaded the tournament's inception.
