The passengers said they disembarked at Port Miami and returned to Premier Parking Ventures, where they had left their vehicles, and discovered workers had dumped the keys to dozens of vehicles into a pile on the ground as part of ongoing pay dispute with the company, WPTV, West Palm Beach, Fla., reported Wednesday.
"They had just a mosh pit of people scrambling through keys, and people saying they're gonna miss their flight, some people screaming they're gonna call the police," said Brian Kline, one of the cruise passengers.
Some customers said they had to wait several hours for locksmiths and tow trucks to come assist them.
Kline said he will be billing Premier for the services he had to use.
"We paid for a tow truck, but there were too many cars blocking us in, so when they finally could get to my car, it was pulled in front-end drive, so they couldn't even tow it in to the dealer to make a key," Kline said.
He said spare keys had to be driven 52 miles from Delray Beach.
