ATLANTA, Nov. 7 (UPI) -- An Atlanta man said he is trying to raise $50,000 on Kickstarter for a 40-foot-tall vine-covered monster he dubbed "Kudzilla."

Chris Lindland, with help from Atlanta Journal-Constitution columnist and "Georgia Garderner" Walter Reeves, said he wants to raise the cash on the crowd-funding website to create the 40-foot-tall monster covered in kudzu vines and turn it into "America's next great roadside attraction," the Journal-Constitution reported Thursday.

"We want to harness the amazing power of kudzu to create a creature of our own," Lindland said on the Kickstarter page.

"Your pledges will finance the construction of a massive skeleton, which will then be covered and smothered in kudzu," he said. "Given kudzu's rapid growth rate, our botanical beast should take shape in three to six months."

Lindland said he hope to install Kudzilla in the Atlanta area, but "we're open to different locations."
