CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., Nov. 5 (UPI) -- Pennsylvania wedding dress company David's Bridal says its annual survey indicates there will be a large spike in weddings Nov. 12 -- written out as 11/12/13.

Brian Beitler, chief marketing officer for David's Bridal, said the company's Nov. 16-27 online survey of 500 women who are engaged to be married or married within the last two months indicates there is a rising trend of couples seeking "iconic" wedding dates.

"Iconic dates have become a trend in the United States, reaching new heights when over 65,000 couples tied the knot on 07/07/07," Beitler said. "11/12/13 is a sequential pattern, and we have learned that couples love dates that have patterns. The last consecutive series of the century will occur next year, 12/13/14. It falls on a Saturday, so we predict this date could reach record breaking numbers."

The survey suggests more than 3,000 weddings will take place in the United States Nov. 11, up 722 percent from the same date last year.

Beitler said 40 percent of respondents said they would take special dates sick as 11/12/13 into consideration when choosing a date.

The survey, conducted for David's Bridal by Wakefield Research, had an error margin of plus or minus 4.4 percentage points with a 95 percent certainty.
