The landlord discovered the carcasses a few days before Halloween in an otherwise pristine vacant apartment in Viterbo. Advertisement Investigators were looking for the woman this weekend and were prepared to file animal mistreatment charges against her if she did not have a good explanation for the grisly cache, The Local.it said. The newspaper Ill Messaggero said police suspected the dead animals were being saved as food for pythons and other exotic carnivorous pets, but had not ruled out the possibility they were to be used in some sort of spooky Halloween ritual.
