(UPI) -- Oklahoma City police are releasing details about a bizarre incident that occurred at the home of 22-year-old Jarnell Anderson on Wednesday involving blood, Bible-burning and a “homosexual demon.”

Police arrived at Anderson’s apartment after getting reports about a “person going ballistic” and found the young man on his front porch covered in blood and screaming random phrases. An officer described Anderson as “clearly out of touch with reality.”

Anderson became violent, throwing glass and furniture out the door and windows of the apartment. He had previously lit a small fire which was quickly filling the apartment with smoke.

Officers attempted to taze Anderson, but he pulled out the probes, unaffected. Officers were then told by the suspect to put their weapons down so that he could “fist fight them.”

After a scuffle in the smoky room, Anderson was finally subdued with a taser and immediately taken to the hospital.

At the hospital, Anderson told officers that he lit the fire for “cooking the Bible” because he was a “Satanist.” He also said he encountered a “possessed homosexual demon” who performed sex acts on him and asked him for drugs. Police say Anderson told them that he “wasn’t gay, just high,” and said he was disappointed he had let the male demon touch him.

Once at the hospital, Anderson also admitted he knew he needed to be on medication.

He reportedly said that he would have shot and killed his neighbors and shot and killed the police if he was in possession of a gun when they arrived.

First-degree arson charges against Anderson have been filed and more could be on the way.
