Mikayla Clark, 16, a junior at Westlake High School, performed the feat during her high school's homecoming game, breaking the previous record of 36 consecutive handsprings, WSB-TV, Atlanta, reported Wednesday.
Ashley Clark, the school's cheerleading coach, said the student has been planning her record-breaking stunt since the start of the football season.
"I'm very proud of her," the coach said.
