Kevin Swanson, a pastor and right-wing activist, said on his "Generations Radio" program, which originates in Elizabeth, Colo., that he doesn't condone purchasing Girl Scout cookies because the organization promotes homosexuality and supports abortion, MSNBC reported Tuesday. Advertisement "Please, I beg of you, stop buying Girl Scout cookies," Swanson said on Monday's radio broadcast. "I'd say you ought to say no to the Girl Scout cookies," Swanson said. "I don't want to support lesbianism, I don't want to support Planned Parenthood and I don't want to support abortion, and if that be the case I'm not buying Girl Scout cookies." The Girl Scouts' website states the group "does not have a relationship or partnership with Planned Parenthood." The site says the Girl Scouts of America is a "secular organization" and it has no official position on human sexuality, birth control or abortion. "The vision of the Girl Scouts of America is antithetical to a biblical vision for womanhood," Swanson said. "It's antithetical to it." Advertisement
