ESSEX, England, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- A 17-year-old British girl with an IQ of 161 says she is preparing for a ball in Paris for high-achieving young women that she hopes will be like a "fairytale."

When Lauren Marbe decided last year to take an IQ test compiled by Mensa-- a society of high IQ people -- she said she almost backed out because she already had a lot on her plate, The Daily Telegraph reported Saturday.

"I remember deliberating with my Mum in the kitchen the night before," Lauren said. "I didn't know if there was any point. I'd always got good grades but nothing to this extent. In the end I thought I might as well give it a go. If I'd had any idea what it would lead to, I'd never have thought twice."

Since taking the test and receiving a score of 161 -- higher than Albert Einstein's -- Lauren has been asked to join Mensa and invited to Le Bal in Paris as one of 25 debutantes who will be presented at the event Nov. 30.

Lauren who is deciding whether to go to college for architecture or law, said she feels "a bit like Cinderella."

Also attending the event will be Tallulah Willis, the daughter of American actor Bruce Willis, and Barbara Berlusconi, daughter of former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.

Lauren said she will wear a dress by French designer Anne Valerie Hash.

She will be escorted to the event by cavalier, or knight, named Theodore Rousseau.

"I haven't seen a photo of him yet, but he sounds nice. And maybe," Lauren said, "it'll be like a fairytale -- and he'll sweep me off my feet."
